We are a health provider that specialises in personalised care for people that have sustained a brain injury. We are looking for additional Support Workers in the Clearwell area. If you are reliable, empathetic, patient and have good communication skills we want to hear from you.

One of the current support workers that work with this client is going on maternity leave so we need a new team member to cover this position. After the maternity cover is over, the role and hours will be re-evaluated. Our client requires support Monday to Friday from 9am to 3:30pm. The rate of pay starts at £9.37 per hour. We also pay for your mileage (to, from and during shift), as well as any personal protection equipment you may need.

We offer all our support workers a free enhanced DBS check, 25 days of paid annual holiday, and a pension scheme. You will have 24/7 contact with the office staff including managers and coordinators through our On-Call system, as well as regular supervisions and appraisals. We are a very receptive team with an open-door policy, and our aim is to ensure that you feel safe and happy doing your job. We will also provide you with extensive paid training, accredited Care Certificate, as well as specialist nurse led approach for clinical needs.

About the Client

You will be supporting a teenager who lives with her family in the area of Clearwell. You will be supporting her with her daily activities as well as with her rehabilitation therapy. She is considering going back into education after taking a break following the injury, and we are very keen to see her success in this aspect! So during term time you will also help with the school drops and keeping her motivated and positive through the new challenges she will face back in the classroom. We need to ensure her safety whilst out in the community, which you will support her with, as well as building back up her confidence to carry out the activities and hobbies she is interested in.

The right candidate must be empathetic and adaptable to help this lady go through this journey, continue her rehabilitation and fulfil her goals to reach her full potential as an adult. Successful candidates must be able to drive to support our client whilst out in the community.
