National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) in Health and Social care

These qualifications are designed to support all learners who are either employed or undertaking work experience in health or social care settings and who work with adults or children and young people.  Not only will these qualifications offer you more flexibility in the areas you work in, they will also help you progress in your career.

The level 2 is designed for anyone who works or who wants to work in a health or social care setting.

The level 3 offers two pathways - one for those working with adults and another for those working with children and young people.  It is particularly relevant to you if you have supervisory responsibility or are involved in specialist tasks with some degree of responsibility or independence. 

We have links with local training providers, who work closely with us to provide training for NVQ level 2 and 3.  They will help you develop your portfolio of work and provide quality assessments, for full assessment of your work and direct observations to help you through your qualification.
