The charity event was held on Sunday 13th June 2010 in Wimborne and took place to raise money and awareness for ParaGolfer.
Team Brain Injury showed their support at the event with both office staff and support workers taking part in the Triathlon, coming 2nd place overall, with the funds raised totalling £1000.00 which was a huge achievement for all involved and allowed for the ParaGolfer Chair to be kept for use at Canford Magna Golf Club.
The ParaGolfer is a specaialist multi-terrain, powered stand-up wheelchair that allows disabled and less able bodied people to stand up and have the opportunity to play golf. Matthew Purchase, a service user of Team Brain Injury Support, who was a keen golfer before he acquired his brain injury has played a major part in the charity event to raise the funds for his ParaGolfer which will enable him to be able to play golf again. the ParaGolfer is also going to be available for the use of other less able bodied people with the guidance and supervison of Darren Stratman, Canford Magna Golf Pro.
The ParaGolfer Chair will be available for use at the Canford Magna Golf Club in Wimborne.
